Talenza have been engaged by a financial services client to find an IT Operations Technical Lead. The successful candidate will be experienced in hands on cloud engineering in Azure and will have proven experience providing technical leadership to a small team.

This role requires 4 days per week in the office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane with full working rights.

Key Requirements

• Lead and mentor cross-functional technical operations team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee the architecture, deployment, and optimisation of a secure Azure cloud environments, including services like Intune, Microsoft 365, and Teams Calling, ensuring scalability and reliability.

• Play a key role in cloud migration initiatives, driving transformation from legacy infrastructure to modern Azure-based platforms.

• Implement and integrate advanced cybersecurity tools, including Crowdstrike, Cloudflare, Cisco Meraki, Illumio, and Delinea, to enhance security posture and compliance.

• Manage vendor relationships and MSPs, ensuring infrastructure and security services meet performance, availability, and cost-efficiency targets.

• Lead major incident responses and enforce cloud governance, applying industry best practices to maintain service continuity and align with regulatory standards.
