Role: Solution Architect
Daily Rate: $1000
Contract Length: Initial contract until 30/11/26
Location: Sydney/WFH Flex

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead end-to-end technical design, architecture governance, and solution leadership across a high-impact program. You will work closely with senior leaders, delivery partners, external vendors, and cross-functional technology teams to design modern digital products and services.

This role is ideal for an architect with deep Microsoft cloud experience, strong stakeholder influence skills, and a passion for solving complex enterprise challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate, interpret and validate detailed Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), ensuring alignment to current and future ICT capabilities.

• Provide expert input into the agency's enterprise architecture and guide strategic technology investment decisions.

• Lead evaluation of functional and technical requirements across large, complex, multi-technology projects.

• Design end-to-end solutions using the Microsoft enterprise cloud stack, including:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

  • Power Apps (canvas & model-driven)

  • Power Automate

  • MS Azure services

  • SQL-based data models

• Oversee data models, configurations, customisations, integrations, workflows, and systems interoperability.

• Act as a technical authority-guiding teams conceptually and architecturally.

• Collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Program Manager, CIO, information security, data privacy, compliance teams, and wider ICT operations.

• Ensure solutions meet modern security, compliance, data privacy, and performance requirements.

• Produce and maintain high-quality architecture documentation, including:

  • Solution Design Documents (SDDs)

  • Data models & integration patterns

  • Technical specifications

  • Architecture diagrams

• Support successful implementation, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to architectural standards and governance.

About You

• 7+ years experience in solution/technology architecture in complex enterprise environments.

• Proven ability to balance business needs with technical constraints to drive innovation and efficiency.

• Experience delivering complex projects with multiple delivery partners and vendors.

• Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).

• Demonstrated expertise across key technology domains, including:

  • Cloud computing

  • Security and identity management

  • Data management and integration

  • Networking fundamentals

• Minimum 3 years working with large vendors to define, validate, and finalise enterprise architectures.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• High level of accountability with a proactive, collaborative mindset.

• Experience within the public sector is essential.
