Job Title: ITAM Team Lead - Leading Financial Services Provider

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven senior IT leadership experience implementing ITAM.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure topology.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in ITAM processes and implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Service Now.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including consulting with C-suite executives.
  • Ability to identify and escalate policy issues effectively.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding SCM services, concepts, policies, and procedures.
  • Full working rights in Australia (PR or Citizen only).
  • Applicants must be based in Brisbane; interstate applications will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT Asset Management (ITAM) strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Lead and manage the ITAM team, ensuring effective execution of ITAM activities across hardware and software assets.
  • Drive governance and compliance efforts to maintain accurate records of all IT assets and ensure they are aligned with organizational policies.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to ensure alignment with business objectives and to provide ITAM insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to retirement.
  • Ensure the organization's ITAM processes are integrated with other IT service management processes (e.g., change management, configuration management).
  • Identify and address policy gaps or issues related to asset management and escalate as necessary.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping to build their skills and knowledge of ITAM best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within the ITAM team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in asset management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure the company stays ahead of ITAM challenges.
  • Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure proper asset deployment, tracking, and reporting.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on IT asset status, risk, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with procurement, security, and IT teams to ensure the proper integration of ITAM systems and tools.
