Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Advisor to join one of Australia's leading banks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities across key stakeholders, ensuring effective engagement and strategic supplier management throughout the procurement lifecycle.

This role will also focus on leading category management initiatives and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to strategize and execute their procurement goals.
- Partner with the business to oversee strategic supplier relationships, offering expert guidance on contract and supplier management.
- Lead cross-functional teams throughout procurement initiatives, fostering teamwork and driving successful results.
- Engage in commercial negotiations to secure optimal outcomes for the organisation, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Develop and uphold policies, procedures, templates, and systems that support procurement goals and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Create and implement category strategies that effectively manage spending areas, leveraging market insights and best practices.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal policies and industry standards, delivering benchmark results, including value for money.
- Analyse procurement data and provide detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, driving greater efficiency and enhancing procurement outcomes.
- Continuously refine processes and tools that support efficient procurement practices, including data analytics, technology systems, and category strategies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement, ideally within a complex and regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in category management, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in procurement-related systems and tools.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, procurement, or a related field (desirable).
