Software Engineering Manager

This pivotal leadership role will give you the opportunity to drive technical excellence and guide a talented team of engineers while playing a crucial part in shaping the future of their software development initiatives.

The client is open to people who are currently in a Senior Software Engineering or Technical Lead position who is looking to grow and step-up into a leadership position.

Company Overview:

• Location: Macquarie Park
• Company Size: 1000+ employees
• Team: Currently, you will manage 7 engineers, with plans for the future structure to include 2 technical leads reporting to you and a total of 15 engineers.
• Working Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office.

Role Purpose:

• Leadership & Technical Guidance: Lead a team in a matrix structure, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals while driving the development of scalable, high-quality solutions.
• & Growth: Foster team growth, uphold best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to address technical challenges and deliver solutions that meet business and customer needs.

Technical requirements:

• 7+ Year experience in software development/engineering across software and web development - Java + JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Demonstrated leadership experience 1 - 2 years of experience.
• Proven experience with DevOps & AWS.
• Strong experience with Integration - Microservices/RESTful.
