About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Head of Network Architecture to lead the strategic direction and development of our network domains. As a key leader in one of Australia's largest and most influential companies, you will be responsible for crafting long-term network strategies that enhance reliability, simplify architecture, and ensure seamless connectivity across all network domains.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for directing a team of 7 architects with room to grow the function
• Development of a strategic network architecture roadmap
• Responsible to lead network evolution through strategic planning
• Keep up to date and evaluate new and emerging technologies like AI, SDN and Cloud as the business shifts towards cloud-native architecture
• Drive long term strategy development, reliability and simplification of network architecture

Skills and experience

• Previous experience of implementing large-scale network transformations
• Capable to communicate and influence key internal stakeholders up to C-Suite level
• Have a keen attitude to learn about and evaluate latest technology trends and products
• Deep expertise of IP/MPLS, Network Automation, Core Networking, 5G, SDN, Network Security
• You will have come from a network engineering background
• Proven experience leading successful teams
• Have previous experience in the telecommunications sector
