My client, a leading financial services institution based in Sydney, is looking for a dynamic Tech Ops Manager to lead their operations team.

About the Role

As the Tech Ops Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a large-scale technology environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and service reliability. You will lead L1/L2 support teams, drive incident and problem management, and work closely with senior stakeholders to optimise operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage L1/L2 operations teams, ensuring efficient service delivery and incident resolution.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve system performance, availability, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to drive automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and compliance with financial services regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including monitoring, alerting, and automation.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in technology operations management within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise in AWS or Azure, with a solid understanding of cloud operations and infrastructure management.
  • Experience managing L1/L2 support teams in a complex, high-availability environment.
  • Strong knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL certification is a plus).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for optimising operational efficiency and service reliability.
