About the role


We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong Juniper experience to work on and manage a complex network infrastructure. The role has an overall responsibility to develop firewall rules and policies on Juniper SRX devices to protect the organisation from cyber threats and breaches.

This is an opportunity to join a small, but high performing team in a critical organisation. The preferred set up for this position is to be based out of Sydney as there is a requirement to work 2-3 days per week from the office.



Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage network infrastructure/equipment like routers, switches, firewalls and SD-WAN
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve network issues
• Constant monitoring of network performance
• Implementation of network security policies and protocols and run regular security audits
• Lead network upgrades and migration projects
• Mentoring and training of more junior team members where required
• Some on-call requirements (1 week in every 4)

Skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of Juniper SRX and Juniper routers and switches
• Good knowledge of SD-WAN
• Experience in WAN, LAN, WLAN
• Knowledge of protocols like VPN, BGP, TCP/IP, DNS, etc
• JNCIP or equivalent certifications
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience in network design, implementation and management
