The Role

As a Data/Insights Analyst, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to generate actionable insights across the business. Your responsibilities will include gathering business requirements, performing in-depth data analysis, and developing robust Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Your expertise in SQL and Power BI will be essential in creating comprehensive dashboards and reports that enhance decision-making processes across multiple departments.

This is a business-facing role, requiring strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Corporate Performance and Customer Experience, to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Key Responsibilites

• Insight Generation & Storytelling: Translate complex business questions into clear, descriptive, diagnostic, and prescriptive insights.

• Data Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain compelling Power BI dashboards and automate reports for various stakeholders.

• SQL Querying & Data Analysis: Retrieve, manipulate, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and provide data-driven recommendations.

• Customer Insights & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop insights that improve decision-making and collaborate with internal teams to present findings.

• Business Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, map data lineage, and bridge the gap between business needs and data solutions.

• Data Governance & Security: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

• Corporate Planning & Performance: Support corporate health reporting, develop performance monitoring processes, and contribute to the Executive Intelligence Dashboard.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong experience in SQL programming for data manipulation and analysis.

• Proficiency in Power BI, with the ability to design and optimize dashboards.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering business insights using descriptive analytics.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex datasets.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with agile methodologies using Jira and Confluence.

• Experience in Local Government environments.

• Knowledge of Azure data analysis and governance tools.

• Experience facilitating SCRUM meetings and agile collaboration.
