Description

Our client in the Tourism and Travel industry, based in the Gold Coast is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their close knit team. You'll work closely with teams across marketing, operations, design, and technology to craft exceptional tours and travel experiences that elevate our brand and delight customers. With your knowledge of the hotel industry and the ability to win clients in the Tourism industry, you will help maintain and grow our product portfolio.

  • Maintain and Grow: Provide management of current hotel partners and identify opportunities for growth. Activel pursuing growth opportunities with active Business Development.
  • Maximize Sales & Profit: Use your expertise to optimize product sales and margins as part of our global procurement strategy, driving growth in key markets - this role specifically looking at growing partnering hotel portfolio.

  • Collaborate for Success: Work cross-functionally with our marketing, sales, design, and operations teams to bring your product ideas to life, ensuring a seamless and top-tier customer experience.

  • Mentorship & Culture: Lead by example, offering hands-on training and cultivating a team-oriented, innovative, and travel-passionate culture.

  • Product Development Leadership: Spearhead the product development lifecycle for hotel products, crafting roadmaps that align with company goals and customer desires, while continuously refining our travel offerings.

  • Customer Insight & Research: Collect valuable feedback and analyze industry trends to inform product decisions, ensuring we always stay ahead of the curve with fresh, desirable tours.

  • Launch & Execution Excellence: Drive the launch of new travel products, from creating go-to-market strategies and pricing models to ensuring successful rollouts and timely delivery.

  • Analytics & Reporting: Define key performance metrics for our touring products, analyze data, and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making.

  • Innovation & Growth: Stay at the forefront of the travel industry, identifying emerging trends and new opportunities for digitalization, product enhancements, and market expansion.

  • 35years of experience as a Sales Executive or Business Development Manager specialising in Travel, Tourism or hotel partnerships.
  • A passion for travel and business development.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop innovative products that resonate with diverse customer groups.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

  • A proactive mindset, always seeking new opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Interstate travel (will need a drivers license) OR international travel (will need a valid passport) is required.
