About the role
This is a key role within their business, reporting into the IT leadership team. The initial focus will be on uplifting to NIST cyber security standards over the next 12 months, following that potentially ISO27001 certification. There is a medium term view to uplift quite significantly, SOCI Act is relevant along with Essential 8 standards. There will be a broad remit and a real chance to stamp your ownership on the security environment.

Duties

• Act as the lead for the security strategy for the business
• Work with full autonomy
• General GRC style work
• Mapping and uplift style work to NIST framework
• Security evangelist style responsibilities also in the business

Skills and experience

• To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in a similar security role
• Prior experience with industry standard frameworks and ISMS - ISO, NIST etc
• Ability to problem solve independently where required
• A passion for security and a want to uplift your skills
• Industry certifications are highly regarded.
