Scrum Master AML / CTF - Regulatory Program

12-Month Day Rate Contract
Talenza has been engaged by a leading financial services organisation to source an experienced Scrum Master / Delivery Manager to support a critical regulatory program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing team, ensuring the successful delivery of regulatory compliance initiatives in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Help with the sprints, ensuring smooth planning and execution.
Manage and optimise workflows using Jira.
Facilitate PI planning sessions and ensure alignment across teams.
Connect the interdependencies between different teams and workstreams.
Additional Responsibilities:
Lead Agile ceremonies and drive Agile best practices within the team.
Oversee the delivery of regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Foster collaboration between business and technology teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and enabling teams to perform at their best.
Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
Ensure timely reporting and communication of progress to leadership and regulatory bodies as required.
Preference for candidates with experience in financial services and regulatory programs.
Agile Delivery & Execution:
Facilitate Agile processes and ensure adherence to Agile methodologies.
Support teams in delivering high-quality outcomes within tight regulatory deadlines.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Engage with senior stakeholders to align program deliverables with business and compliance needs.
Work closely with product owners, development teams, and compliance specialists to drive regulatory initiatives forward.
Project Oversight & Risk Management:
Proactively identify project risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies where needed.
Ensure clear and transparent reporting on project progress and regulatory milestones.
Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or similar role within financial services working on Anti Money Laundering (AML) or Couner-Terrorism Financing (CFT) programs of work (or something similar).
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and experience driving Agile transformations.
Experience delivering regulatory or compliance-focused programs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly at senior leadership levels.
Ability to navigate complex environments and manage multiple workstreams effectively.
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on driving outcomes.
Daily rate: $1,000 a day inclusive of superannuation
Hybrid work environment (WFH/Office flexibility) - 50% time at home
12-month contract with potential extensions
