🚨 New Opportunity: Principal Cybersecurity Architect 🚨

I'm currently partnering with one of our energy clients to find a senior technical leader to step into a 12-month contract as a Principal Cyber security Architect

You will define capability and workflows, and influence secure-by-design outcomes across major technology programs.

💡 You'll report directly to the GM Security and have the ability to leverage external reviews and third-party support.

📍 Brisbane based candidates only

💰 DR $1,200- to $1,500 inc

Key Responsibilities:

🔹Lead the cyber architecture service and manage a small team of cyber architects-providing technical leadership, coaching, and performance management.

🔹Act as the primary security design authority across major technology programs including cloud, ERP, network, firewall uplift, and service transitions.

🔹Ensure alignment with enterprise security architecture and risk posture.

🔹Drive early engagement with project teams and architecture forums to embed security into design from the outset.

🔹Influence senior stakeholders across business units, ICT, and third-party partners in a federated environment.

🔍 What we're looking for:

🔹 Proven experience in a Principal or Lead Cyber Architect role.

🔹Strong technical depth-this is not a leadership-only role.

🔹Hands-on experience with technologies including Microsoft, Palo Alto, Zscaler, API security, and Azure.

🔹Experience in the utilities industry and preferably in the energy sector

🔹Deep understanding of frameworks: AESCSF, NIST-CSF, ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight, CIS Benchmarks

🔹Self-driven, high-performing individual comfortable navigating complexity.
