We're partnering with a leading financial services institution to find an Engineering Lead - Storage & Backup to join their Sydney-based team. In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for the design and architecture of enterprise-grade storage and backup solutions, ensuring performance, resilience, and security across hybrid environments.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable storage and backup solutions across on-prem and cloud infrastructure.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring alignment to architectural standards and business needs.

• Define and drive best practices, standards, and policies across backup, recovery, and storage lifecycle management.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to enhance reliability and efficiency.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in a technical leadership or engineering lead role within a large-scale enterprise environment.

• Deep understanding of enterprise storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik, etc.).

• Experience designing and operating solutions in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).

• Ability to lead architecture discussions, create high-level designs, and mentor other engineers.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
