About the Role

As the Pre-Assurance & Change Transformation Lead, you'll partner directly with senior leaders to drive sustainable, measurable improvements that align with to the company's commitment to responsible selling and regulatory compliance. Your focus will be on embedding risk ownership across the business, strengthening internal controls, and supporting transformation efforts that put customer protection front and centre.

This is more than a compliance role, it's about cultural change, operational excellence, and future-proofing the business through robust governance and assurance frameworks.

Location: Macquarie Park (three days a week in office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of the pre-assurance and change strategy, ensuring alignment with program objectives and regulatory commitments.
  • Prepare the business for external assurance, audits, and regulatory reviews, with a sharp focus on customer outcomes and sustainable process change.
  • Embed strong Line 1 risk capabilities across the organisation by partnering with executive leaders and frontline teams.
  • Develop assurance stage-gating and readiness frameworks to guide the delivery of transformation initiatives across critical areas including:
  • Mis-selling detection
  • Incentives & commissions
  • Vulnerable customer management
  • Complaints & debt handling
  • Credit checks, remediation, ACL compliance & more
  • Ensure the development of clear documentation, audit trails, and reporting in line with regulatory expectations (ACCC, CCO, and other stakeholders).
  • Monitor and report on progress, risk posture shifts, and the maturity of responsible selling capabilities across the business.


What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years in senior roles spanning risk, assurance, compliance, or transformation within highly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience driving organisational change that balances risk, compliance, and customer experience.
  • Expertise in assurance frameworks, external audit readiness, and governance structures.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong ability to influence at the Executive level.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs focused on risk and cultural uplift.
