Solution Architect

They're currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join their Strategy & Architecture Team-playing a pivotal role in reshaping how technology supports healthcare delivery at scale.

This role is more than just architecture you'll work across Cloud initiatives, cyber governance, AI innovation, and enterprise transformation, while influencing long-term IT strategy across a large and complex environment.

Company Size: 1000+ employees (circa).
Team: Central Strategy & Architecture team working cross-functionally
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Role Purpose:

This is a high-impact architecture role with broad scope-you'll lead end-to-end solution design, engage with key stakeholders, and help mature organisation's reference architecture and enterprise platforms. You'll also contribute to initiatives in Cloud, Cybersecurity, Risk, and Data Governance.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Deliver IT Solutions: Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and IT governance standards.

• Enterprise & Solution Architecture: Lead development of solution architectures, reference architectures, and enterprise strategies, while providing architectural governance and oversight.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Technology Foresight & Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies (e.g., Cloud, AI/ML), anticipate future business needs, and incorporate trends into strategic planning and solution design.

• Cybersecurity, Risk & Data Governance: Contribute to cybersecurity strategy, conduct risk assessments, and support the development and execution of data governance frameworks and policies.

Technical Environment / Desired Experience:

• 5+ years in IT Architecture or similar
• Strong understanding of IT systems, SDLC, and solution design
• Cloud (AWS or Azure)
• Cybersecurity & IT risk assessment
• Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and data governance
• Bonus: Healthcare/Medical IT experience (PACS, RIS, AI/ML in imaging)
