Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Mortgages
Location: Sydney
Employment Type: Day rate contract | $900- $1050 inc super per. day
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis within project and delivery-focused environments, particularly in Agile settings. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively gather, document, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, document, prioritize, and trace business and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and contribute to Agile best practices.
- Translate complex business needs into clear and actionable user stories and solution requirements.
- Identify and analyze potential risks and issues, proposing and implementing solutions.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile collaboration platforms to manage documentation and workflow.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity.
- Support testing and validation efforts to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in business analysis within project/delivery-oriented roles.
- Solid experience working in Agile environments with a good understanding of Agile principles and practices.
- Background in the financial services industry; experience in Mortgages is a must
- Mortgages Product expertise preferred
- Transaction and Deposit banking expertise preferred
- Prior vendor management experience - data providers would be highly prefererred
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between business and technical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
- High proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a drive to deliver impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum certifications).
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and change management.
Candidates must be based in Sydney with full work rights.
