The Role

Join a high-impact team shaping NSW's cloud infrastructure! We're looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, development, and support of secure, scalable Infrastructure as Code solutions. You'll drive best practices in automation, CI/CD, and cloud platform management while supporting critical systems across government services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain repeatable, secure Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

• Automate provisioning and deployment using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

• Provide high-level operational support and act as an escalation point for cloud platform issues.

• Support business continuity through resilient, highly available solutions.

• Collaborate with design and architecture teams to ensure performance, security, and sustainability.

• Contribute to cloud governance, technical standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS or Azure

• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or other configuration management tools

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)

• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell

• Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and cloud-native logging platforms

• Knowledge of security, networking, and governance in cloud environments
