About the Role
We're seeking a skilled ICT Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting multiple high-profile technology programs on an initial 24 month contract. In this role, you'll lead end-to-end strategic procurement activities across a range of ICT initiatives, working within Queensland Government frameworks (QITC/GITC and General Goods & Services).
You'll play a key part in shaping procurement strategies, engaging stakeholders, managing tender processes, and negotiating high-value contracts - all while ensuring transparency, compliance, and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, high-value ICT procurement processes within government frameworks.
- Apply strategic thinking and innovative approaches to support project goals.
- Assess procurement risks and provide expert guidance on risk mitigation.
- Conduct market research and develop sourcing strategies and procurement plans.
- Prepare and manage tender documentation, evaluation plans, and probity compliance.
- Negotiate and develop contracts in line with departmental needs and legislative requirements.
- Represent procurement at program board meetings and steering committees.
- Perform contract management activities and ensure ethical, transparent practices.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing complex ICT procurement processes.
- Strong working knowledge of QITC/GITC, Queensland Procurement Policy, and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage high-value, high-risk contracts.
- Experience working across both public and private sectors (highly desirable).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet performance targets and work effectively under pressure.
Please Note:
You must be able to work from the North Brisbane office 2-3 days per week. Flexibility is offered, but regular in-office presence is essential for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
