About the Role:
Talenza is working with an innovative AI-driven technology organisation based in Melbourne, with operations across Australia and the USA, to find an experienced Head of Enterprise Systems and Services. In this pivotal role, you will lead the strategic direction and operational execution of the organisation's core enterprise platforms, including ERP, HRIS, and ESM. Your responsibility will be ensuring these systems are scalable, integrated, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
You will work closely with technology and business leaders to implement cutting-edge AI-driven solutions that drive automation, optimise business processes, and enable successful digital transformation initiatives. As the leader of this function, you will oversee technology roadmaps, service delivery, and team performance, collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Oversight: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for enterprise systems, aligning with the organisation's growth, resilience, and digital maturity objectives. Lead system selection, design, and implementation across core platforms.
  • Vendor & Partner Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with third-party vendors, negotiating service contracts and ensuring cost-efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of enterprise system professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development. Lead a team focused on technical delivery and solution deployment.
  • Service & Performance Management: Drive the adoption of IT service management principles to manage incident, problem, change, and service level management, ensuring effective service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Budget & Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of enterprise systems, managing budgets and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic and operational goals.

  • Experience in Enterprise Systems: Significant experience in enterprise systems, including ERP, HRIS, and service management platforms, with a solid background in service delivery and technology operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven success in leading large, geographically dispersed teams (50+ professionals), driving performance and collaboration across multiple regions.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Strong capability in managing relationships with senior business stakeholders and technical teams, alongside extensive vendor management experience.
  • Process Optimisation: Expertise in simplifying both technical and business processes to ensure alignment with broader organisational goals and improve overall efficiency.
  • Strategic Vision & Execution: Ability to shape and execute strategies that drive technological innovation, service delivery excellence, and digital transformation initiatives.
