Description

Our NSW Government client are hiring for two Operating Model and Transformation Specialists to work across a future-state ICT Operating Model for the Department. The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt quickly to a new environment and be able to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, ranging up to the C-Suite. Prior experience in government or large federated enterprises is highly desired.


Role Title: Operating Model and Transformation Specialist

Contract Role Till: ASAP Start, initial 12 week contract.

Daily Pay: $1,050 to $1,150 + Super per day.

Location: Sydney CBD (2000)/ WFH Hybrid. 50% in office and 50% working from home.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working at an accelerated pace the successful candidates will analyse the current state, identify opportunities, and design the target state operating model and transition plan to target state.
  • They will work collaboratively with the Project Lead, senior executive stakeholders across the organisation, and subject matter experts across the Department.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from initial analysis through to transition planning.

Essential Requirements for consideration:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Management Consultant or organisation design/change specialist working on large-scale transformation programs in complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep, proven expertise in designing and implementing ICT operating models, with a strong preference for experience in both functional/process design and organisational design.
  • Exceptional workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with and influence senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
  • A focus on organisational and process analysis, not just technical systems.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience applying industry frameworks (e.g., Gartner's ITOM, OCIO models, Business Capability Mapping, ITIL, TOGAF) to analyse and design operating models.
