Our client, a leading healthcare organisation based in Sydney, is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in supporting the build and deployment of secure, scalable infrastructure across their AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native infrastructure using AWS and Terraform

• Support cloud networking and ensure secure connectivity across hybrid environments

• Work with serverless technologies (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge) to build scalable services

• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to implement best practices around IaC, security, and automation

• Monitor cloud systems and troubleshoot issues in production and staging environments

What We're Looking For:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, CloudWatch)

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, etc.)

• Experience working with serverless technologies in a production environment

• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience in healthcare, MedTech or regulated environments

• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)

• Exposure to containerisation (Docker, ECS, or EKS)
