Lead Integration Developer
As part of their ongoing digital transformation efforts in Australia's highly regulated industries, they are seeking a Lead Integration Developer with deep IBM WebMethods expertise to drive key integration initiatives across public sector and enterprise environments

Overview:
As a Lead Integration Developer, you will design and deliver scalable, secure integration solutions using IBM WebMethods, while leading and mentoring a development team to ensure seamless connectivity across cloud and on-premise enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and configure integration solutions using IBM WebMethods components (Integration Server, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging).
- Build and manage integration flows between internal systems and external partners using REST, SOAP, SFTP, and handle data mapping with JSON, XML, and flat files.
- Ensure solutions align with architecture standards, security frameworks, and performance requirements across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Provide technical leadership within the integration team-conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and promoting best practices in middleware and API-led architecture.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, support delivery, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) working with the IBM WebMethods suite, including deep expertise in Integration Server, Trading Networks, and Universal Messaging.
- Strong understanding of integration protocols and data formats (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, SFTP) and messaging patterns such as pub-sub and request-response.
- Skilled in exception handling, orchestration, and use of logging frameworks to ensure robust and reliable integrations.
- Familiar with security standards and protocols including OAuth, JWT, SAML, and SSL/TLS, with hands-on experience in CI/CD and DevOps environments.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, produce clear documentation, and mentor team members
Preferred:
- Certifications in MuleSoft, AWS, Azure, or other integration platforms.
- Prior experience in a technology consulting or client-facing delivery role.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and scalable delivery models.
