Description

We've partnered with one of Australia's most innovative SaaS companies as they continue to scale their cloud-native platforms. They're looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise to help drive platform reliability, scalability, and automation across the business.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll work within a cross-functional product team while also influencing DevOps best practices across the broader engineering group.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Acting as the Kubernetes SME across the engineering organisation.

  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.

  • Leading the development and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native tooling.

  • Working closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to improve deployment automation and platform reliability.

  • Mentoring and guiding other DevOps and platform engineers.

What We're Looking For:

  • Expert-level Kubernetes experience - you know the ins and outs of running workloads in production (EKS a plus).

  • Solid experience with AWS - managing cloud-native, high-availability environments.

  • Advanced skills in Terraform and infrastructure as code.

  • Proven experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles within modern SaaS environments.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Bonus: experience with GitOps (e.g. ArgoCD), observability tooling, or service meshes.

What's on Offer:

  • Join one of Australia's leading SaaS businesses with a modern engineering culture.

  • High-impact, principal-level role with autonomy and technical influence.

  • Flexible working - fully remote within Australia or hybrid from their Sydney HQ.

  • Competitive salary package and strong internal career growth pathways.
