Are you a deep technical architect with a passion for designing robust infrastructure solutions that drive control, compliance, and resilience in regulated environments?

We're seeking a Senior Solution Architect to help shape and deliver highly secure, compliant, and resilient technology platforms underpinning national infrastructure.

Key responsibilities...

• Lead solution architecture design, high-level designs and impact assessments for critical bank systems and infrastructure initiatives.
• Own and deliver Conceptual & Solution Architecture documentation.
• Collaborate closely with BAs, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and compliance mandates.
• Drive architecture certification processes and approvals.
• Work across on-premise and hybrid infrastructure environments (no cloud).
• Design solutions that improve controls, patching, deployment automation, and manage risk in line with COBIT 2019 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Identify, document, and communicate technical dependencies and risks across multiple systems and programs.
  

About you...

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect or Infrastructure Architect within banking, payments, or financial services.
• Deep expertise across application + infrastructure layers in a controlled/on-prem environment.
• Experience with payment systems such as SWIFT, NPP, FSS or similar.
• Demonstrated success designing solutions for regulated institutions (e.g., ASIC, ASX, APRA, Big 4 Banks).
• Proven background improving security and operational controls through architecture.
• Comfortable working with automation toolsets (Puppet, Terraform, Chocolatey, Packer, vRA) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Gitlab).
• Familiarity with core infrastructure systems (AD, SQL Server, VMWare, SAN, Sterling) and cert lifecycle tools (Venafi, Hashicorp Vault).
• Strong communicator - able to influence and engage with senior leadership and demanding stakeholders.
