Our client, a leading NSW Government Department are hiring for a highly capable Finance Officer - Bank Reconciliation to join the organisation. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Financial Accounting manager as part of a small, close-knit team and performing bank reconciliations to a high level.
Role Title: Finance Officer - Bank Reconciliation
Contract Length: 12-months from start date
Pay: $36.50 + Super per hour.
Hours: 7.6hr/day 38hr/week
Location: Mosman/ WFH Hybrid.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reconciliation of high volume bank transactions and other general ledgers are carried out accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in daily cash receipts, credit card settlements through engagement with operation managers and Banks.
- Present weekly updates to Manager Finance regarding position of bank accounts. Investigate Bank and other key ledger reconciliations on a daily basis and provide clarity in processed transactions. Complete Monthly/Quarterly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
Key knowledge & experience:
- Must have good knowledge of Accounting Processes and Previous experience in reconciliations, suitable for candidate studying towards completion of CPA or CA.
- A minimum of 2-3 years in reconciling high volume transactions or clearing accounts on a Balance Sheet.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field would be relevant.
- Candidates must be able to adapt quickly to new systems, previous experience with SAP is desirable.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Candidates must be based in the Greater Sydney Area and must possess existing full working rights in Australia.
