Talenza have been engaged by a Brisbane Based Customer to find a Senior Security Engineer.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of their infrastructure by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats across the organization. When issues arise-whether it's a misconfiguration, anomaly detected, or a sudden performance drop you'll be expected to diagnose and resolve the issue swiftly and effectively.

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Cloudflare services (WAF, CDN, DNS, Bot Management, Zero Trust policies, etc.).

• Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts across a broad spectrum of technologies.

• Lead efforts in detection engineering, threat hunting, and incident response.

• Act as an escalation point for critical security issues and ensure timely remediation.

• Implement automation and playbooks to improve response times and reduce false positives.

• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and engineering teams to implement secure architectures and practices.

• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring security issues and apply corrective measures.

• Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk

• Participate in on-call rotations and support emergency response efforts.
