Senior Project Manager - Wealth

Sydney-based role

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of key initiatives in a wealth and investments portfolio. You'll be accountable for steering projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring they meet agreed objectives and add real value to the business.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment - navigating complexity, solving challenges, and driving results that matter.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and deliver strategic projects in the wealth and investments domain, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.

  • Shape project scope and adapt as priorities shift, balancing business outcomes with the implications for timeframes, resources, cost, and risk.

  • Anticipate and manage risks or roadblocks, escalating where necessary to keep progress on track.

  • Provide leaders with clear insights into project performance - highlighting progress, financials, risks, and dependencies to support confident decision-making.

  • Build strong, effective relationships across the organisation, influencing a wide range of stakeholders and keeping teams aligned.

  • Apply structured governance and delivery practices, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and decision-making pathways are understood and followed.

  • Operate within key delivery frameworks, including PEFM, AEF, and SELC, to ensure projects are managed with consistency and discipline.

What You'll Bring

  • Prior experience delivering projects in wealth management, superannuation, or investments is highly desirable.

  • Wealth/investment product knowledge is a must for consideration
  • Strong ability to manage uncertainty and shifting scope while keeping outcomes front of mind.

  • Demonstrated expertise in risk and issue management, with a proactive approach to resolution.

  • Experience preparing reporting and insights for executives, with the ability to distil complex updates into actionable information.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging both technical teams and business leaders.

  • An understanding of transformation and product governance, and experience applying governance models to large-scale initiatives.
