Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Program Director to lead the board-endorsed transformation within the regulatory space

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and governance for the program, ensuring delivery against board-approved objectives.
  • Oversee multiple delivery streams (including Scrum Masters, Delivery Leads, and supporting teams) and ensure alignment with transformation goals.
  • Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, reporting, and risk management processes.
  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships across fraud operations, technology, risk, compliance, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure program alignment with broader financial crime roadmap
  • Drive continuous improvement, change enablement, and embedding of new ways of working.
  • Oversee vendor and partner engagement, ensuring value-for-money and quality delivery.
  • Ensure program milestones are met on time, within scope, and to budget.

Must have experience:

  • Proven track record as a Program Director / Portfolio Director within large-scale transformation initiatives in financial services.
  • Financial crime domain expertise, with proven success in leading compliance-driven programs.
  • Prior experience working with operations teams or similar operations - transformation programs
  • Extensive experience in agile delivery, scaled agile frameworks, and hybrid transformation approaches.
  • Deep expertise in program governance, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with C-level executives and board committees.
  • Experience overseeing workflow or case management technology implementations.
  • High resilience and adaptability to evolving business and regulatory environments.
  • Experience leading multi-year transformation programs with budgets exceeding $50m.

Candidates must be based in Sydney with full work rights. Office attendance is 2-3 days p.w, and this is not open to day rate candidates (see above).
