Talenza are exclusively partnering with an ASX listed Enterprise on their search for an AWS Platform Engineer.

This Engineer has the opportunity to take ownership of this Organisation's Cloud roadmap. Take the reins, architect, design, and uplift our Client's Cloud posture. Their IT Infrastructure is 100% in-house Engineering, with no outsourced infrastructure. They operate on a federated model - centralised IT team servicing separate business arms across the wider enterprise.

In essence, this position encompasses our Client's AWS Cloud Platform, and provides the opportunity to make it your own. Key technical skills involve significant experience across Core and Advanced AWS infrastructure, IaC Terraform and CloudFormation, Virtualization Platforms, and a Windows Adminstration background.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in a similar role or equivalent deep technical expertise.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, 24x7 enterprise production environments.
  • Advanced skills in AWS infrastructure, including:
    • Networking (VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways)
    • Compute & Storage (EC2, Auto Scaling, FSx, S3)
    • Identity & Access (AWS Managed AD)
    • Monitoring & Security (CloudWatch, WAF, CloudFront)
    • DNS & Load Balancing (Route 53, ELB)
    • Container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools, scripting (e.g., PowerShell), and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy, and IIS.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
  • Skilled in performing non-disruptive upgrades and proactive infrastructure maintenance.
