Role: Senior Financial Analyst - Funding Innovation
Day Rate: $850 - $950 + Super
Contract Length: Initial contract until 30/06/26
Location: Parramatta/WFH Hybrid
We're seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Funding Innovation to lead the identification, analysis, and development of new funding opportunities and financial models. This role plays a key part in expanding our NSW Government client's funding base through strategic partnerships, innovative financing mechanisms, and evidence-based business cases that align with NSW Government frameworks and community priorities.
Key Accountabilities
Research, analyse, and secure new funding opportunities across government, private, and philanthropic sectors.
Develop business cases and innovative financial models that support sustainable housing delivery.
Provide high-quality financial analysis and risk assessments to inform decision-making.
Collaborate across the agency to align funding initiatives with strategic and operational objectives.
Negotiate and implement funding agreements that meet compliance, governance, and performance requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
Monitor funding initiatives and provide insights to support continuous improvement and innovation.

- You're a strategic and commercially minded financial professional who thrives on developing new approaches to complex funding challenges.
- You can translate financial insight into practical outcomes that support community and organisational goals.
- You're also skilled at stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing across diverse sectors.
Essential Criteria
CA qualification (or equivalent) with extensive experience in finance, ideally across private sector banking, investment, or financial services.
Advanced financial analysis, modelling, and risk assessment skills.
Strong understanding of funding models, partnership structures, and financial governance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.
Experience within NSW or Federal Treasury, or government funding agencies.
Proven track record in developing innovative, sustainable funding strategies.
