Description

Join one of Australia's most prominent and forward-thinking businesses as we build something new.

We're forming a brand-new product squad - an empowered, cross-functional team with a clear mission: to deliver innovative, scalable, and reliable digital experiences. As our DevOps Engineer, you'll play a foundational role, building the platform capabilities that enable our engineers to deliver quickly, safely, and confidently.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, leveraging serverless technologies such as Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - ensuring our environments are reproducible, reliable, and automated.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and designers to remove friction, improve deployment pipelines, and enhance system observability.
  • Contribute to the squad's technical strategy and help shape best practices around DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud architecture.
  • Support and mentor engineers in leveraging the platform effectively, helping them ship high-quality software faster.
  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer in a modern engineering environment.
  • Strong expertise with AWS services - particularly serverless technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation tooling.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills - you love enabling teams and helping others succeed.
  • Highly desirable: Experience with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), containerisation, and modern observability tooling.
  • Be part of a newly formed squad with a startup mindset - backed by one of Australia's most respected organisations.
  • Work with cutting-edge AWS and serverless technologies.
  • Influence the platform architecture and engineering culture from the ground up.
  • Flexible hybrid work arrangements and genuine investment in your growth.
