We're seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a passion for designing and delivering secure, cloud-native solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. You'll take ownership of the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable software systems that support clinical operations and patient outcomes across Australia.

You'll work closely with senior technology and business stakeholders, providing technical leadership and mentoring across the engineering team - guiding best practices in AWS cloud development, software design, and continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer ready to step into a leadership role within a purpose-driven, collaborative environment.

  • 8+ years in software engineering, with experience leading or mentoring teams.

  • Expertise in Java, Python, or React, and hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3).

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native principles, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Terraform).

  • Experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient applications in enterprise environments.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).

  • Commitment to code quality, testing, and documentation.

  • A collaborative approach, with excellent communication skills and a focus on mentoring junior developers.

  • Work on systems that directly impact patient care and medical outcomes.

  • Be part of a high-performing, values-driven team (Innovation / Compassion / Connection / Quality).

  • Hybrid flexibility with a supportive, collaborative culture.

  • Clear career pathway toward Principal Engineer / Software Architect / Technical Manager roles.
