About the Role
Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with proven experience supporting divestment programs. The role will focus on defining business requirements, supporting operational readiness, and ensuring compliance through robust data separation and data purging activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business analysis across all phases of the divestment lifecycle, from due diligence through to post-separation.
Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Legal to understand and document business impacts.
Define and document business requirements, process maps, and data flows related to separation activities.
Support the design of transition and target operating models (TOMs).
Conduct impact assessments, identify risks, and contribute to mitigation planning.
Partner with programme management and PMO teams to ensure alignment with overall divestment strategy.
Provide analytical insights to support leadership decisions and readiness assessments.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services industry (e.g., banking, insurance, wealth management, or payments).
Proven experience in divestment, M&A, or business separation programmes.
Strong understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and core banking / financial systems.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior business and technology leaders.
Strong documentation, process modelling, and analytical skills.
Experience working in large, complex organisations undergoing transformation.
Define and document business requirements, process maps, and data flows related to separation and data handling.
Conduct data impact assessments to identify sensitive data dependencies and ensure safe data transition or removal.
