Employment Type: 3 days office attendance, 2 days work from home
Are you ready to take your Product Owner career to the next level? We're looking for a hands-on Product Owner with a strong tech BA or engineering background to join a high-growth, innovative environment. This is a rare opportunity to work on complex, large-scale technology platforms that truly make an impact.
Why this role is exciting:
- Work directly with software engineers in cross-functional squads, delivering tangible results every sprint.
- Lead and coach a small team of BAs, shaping the way products are built and delivered.
- Operate in a SaaS/start-up-style environment within a mature financial services context - think rapid innovation meets regulatory expertise.
- Work with cutting-edge technology and strong technical leadership to accelerate your career.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the delivery of product features and enhancements across technology platforms, ensuring practical, scalable, and high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate directly with tech teams in agile squads to turn business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Manage a small team of BAs reporting directly to you, driving clarity, efficiency, and execution excellence.
- Leverage analytics and data to monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation
About you:
- 5+ years' experience as a Product Owner delivering complex technology solutions in financial services, retail, or commerce environments
- Strong technical BA, engineering, or similar technical background with experience working shoulder-to-shoulder with development teams.
- Proven experience combining financial services (banking, wealth management or superannuation experience is a plus) and non-financial commerce/retail (e-commerce platforms, or similar) is also advantageous
- Comfortable in agile, cross-functional squads with a strong bias toward delivery and tangible results.
- Analytical, proactive, and able to influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Experience in SAS scale-up environments or high-growth platforms is advantageous.
Candidates must be based in Sydney with full work rights (PR or Citizen). This is a full-time permanent role and not open to day rate contractors.
