We're searching for a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing data team on a 6-month contract for a major enterprise transformation. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a modern cloud-first environment, driving scalable and reliable data pipelines that support data-driven decision making.

You'll be working with Azure, Databricks, SQL, and PySpark, building next-generation data solutions with the backing of a collaborative team and cutting-edge tech.

🔧 Tech You'll Work With

• Cloud: Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, etc.)
• Compute & Processing: Databricks, PySpark
• Database & Storage: SQL (Azure SQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• Workflow & ORC: ETL/ELT, CI/CD pipelines, Git

💡 What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver end-to-end data pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, and Azure resources.
• Design, build, and optimise scalable data lake and data warehouse environments.
• Enable analytics and data insights through high-quality data modelling and transformation.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand and deliver requirements.
• Follow best practices in cloud, data ops, and automation.

🎯 About You

• 4+ years in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure, Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Proven experience with ETL pipelines, data lake architecture, and large-scale processing.
• Excellent collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Available to start within the next few weeks and based in Sydney.
