Business Analyst with experience in Cyber Security to support in meeting cyber-security needs and business processes to translate requirements into effective IT/OT security solutions aligned with organisational and regulatory goals. 12 months day rate contract, based in Brisbane CBD for a client in Utilities sector.


Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Cyber Security projects and initiatives across both IT and OT environments.
• Define and apply a Cyber-focused business analysis approach, including requirement-gathering tools and techniques.
• Elicit, analyse, and document Cyber Security and business requirements via interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
• Develop clear, traceable requirements aligned with organisational risk posture and recognised security frameworks.
• Model As-Is and To-Be processes (BPMN) with integrated security controls.
• Translate business and security needs into technical specifications for solution delivery teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
• Ensure alignment with key security frameworks (Essential 8, NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory obligations (IS18, SOCI).
• Support design and improvement of Cyber Security processes (incident response, vulnerability management, access control).
• Liaise across business, cyber, and technical teams; manage stakeholders; and prepare documentation, dashboards, and reports.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years as a Business Analyst with experience in Cyber Security projects.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, technologies, and frameworks.
• Proficient in business analysis methods and tools (BPMN, use cases, SWOT).
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with cyber security business analysis across both IT and OT environments.
