As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will act as the architect and builder of the organisation's analytical data layer. Sitting at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and data science, you will ensure business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists have access to clean, consistent, and scalable data.
You'll design and deliver robust data models, transformations, and workflows using modern data tools and software-engineering principles. The role closely partners with cross-functional teams to turn complex requirements into production-ready data assets that power strategic and operational decision-making.
There is a strong opportunity to contribute to AI-driven product development, support model testing, and uplift the organisation's end-to-end data architecture.
Design, build, and maintain modular, scalable data models using dbt and cloud-based tooling
Develop optimised SQL transformations for large, complex datasets
Deliver clean, validated, production-grade datasets to support analytics, reporting, and data science
Collaborate with data scientists on model testing, pipeline optimisation, RAG workflows, and AI-related initiatives
Translate business and technical requirements into reliable data solutions
Apply best practices in testing, version control, documentation, and CI/CD
Support the evolution and enhancement of the organisation's cloud-based data environment
You will bring several of the following:
3+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, BI, or Data Science
Expert-level SQL and hands-on dbt experience
Cloud experience across AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
Strong knowledge of data modelling principles (dimensional modelling, star schemas)
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Proficiency in Python, especially in support of analytics or data science workflows
Experience collaborating with data science teams or supporting ML pipelines (advantageous)
Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, and attention to detail
A business-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Influence data, analytics, and AI strategy across a major financial services organisation
Work with cutting-edge cloud and modern data stack technologies
Exposure to advanced analytics, data science, and AI initiatives
