Test Environment Manager
- Location: Parramatta CBD/ Sydney CBD (Hybrid / Flexible)
- Reports to: Senior Manager - Release & Test Environment Management.

- Day rate contract - average tenure 2+ Years - option to convert to permanent.

About the Role:
You'll own the organisation's test environment management end-to-end, driving process definition, coordinating environment allocation, and ensuring environments are reliable, available, and aligned with project schedules. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with engineering, testing, and platform teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the central repository of test environments, including versions, infrastructure details, and dependencies, while providing architectural oversight of environment supply and demand.
- Plan and manage deployment schedules, environment availability, and onboarding for new projects, including forecasting future environment needs.
- Coordinate across infrastructure, DBAs, platform owners, and release engineers to provision, configure, automate, and stand-up environments.
- Manage environment stability by logging/resolving defects, handling conflicts between teams, investigating issues, and aligning lower environments with production.
- Communicate downtime and changes, support continuous delivery, drive automation improvements, and ensure SLAs for availability and performance are met.
Experience required:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, manage competing tasks, and maintain accurate schedules.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to translate issues and risks between technical and business teams.
- Proven experience managing services in complex, fast-paced environments with ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, service virtualisation, software configuration management, and enterprise-level release/environment management.
- Skilled in estimating environment readiness effort and collaborating effectively with PMs, developers, QA, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
