Our leading data consulting client are hiring for multiple Data Engineers to join a program of work for a global enterprise client. In this role, the successful candidates will be able to work across different streams of work and across the creation of data pipelines. Candidates need to have skills in dbt, Snowflake and ETL. This is an initial 6 months fixed-term contracting opportunity, with good potential to extend post initial contract.

Role Title: Data Engineer

Contract Length: 6 month initial fixed-term contract.

Payrate: $140,000 - $150,000 + Super (per annum).

Location: This role is located in Sydney CBD (1-2 days per week in office) (2000).

Core Responsibilities

• Re-engineer and refactor existing dbt models to align with domain-driven design principles.
• Optimise and uplift existing Snowflake datasets, data structures, and transformation pipelines.
• Support CI/CD, testing, and documentation of all aspects of data engineering projects.
• Contribute to solution design, technical decisions, and modelling best practices
• Work closely with the client to ensure maintainability, performance, and data lineage.

Experience & Skills:

• Advanced dbt capability is required.
• Strong, practical Snowflake engineering experience. This includes schema design, performance tuning, and warehousing best practices.
• Strong, hands-on ETL expertise.
• Experience with SQL, data modelling (dimensional/domain), and modern data stack tooling.
• 4 years' experience as a minimum in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
• A strong ability to collaborate closely with others to achieve work to required standards and to deadlines.
