The Role

We are seeking a Solution Architect who is technically deep and still hands-on. This is not a pure ivory-tower architecture role - you will remain close to the code, engineering teams, and day-to-day delivery.

You will design and govern solutions across BAU and project initiatives, acting as a critical bridge between software engineers and business stakeholders. You will represent solution designs in architecture and strategy forums, while ensuring platforms are built for scale, resilience and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution design for cloud-native digital platforms
• Define architecture that supports scale, high availability, and resilience across hundreds of clinics
• Work closely with engineering teams, remaining hands-on where required to validate designs
• Design and govern microservices, integration patterns, and application architecture
• Translate business and clinical requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions
• Act as a key interface between technology teams and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with AI & Analytics teams building LLM models and application logic
• Ensure alignment with AWS best practices, security, and performance standards
• Support DevOps and delivery pipelines using Infrastructure as Code

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex digital environments
• Strong hands-on background in Java and Spring-based services
• Deep experience designing and delivering solutions on an AWS Cloud environment
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience designing systems for high availability and large-scale usage
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)
• Comfortable engaging directly with business, product and senior executives
• AWS certifications highly regarded
• Experience in healthcare, digital platforms, or regulated environments is advantageous
