Description

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join a major bank on a high-profile procurement transformation program, including a core procurement system implementation and an emerging procurement AI capability.

This role is suited to a consultant-style Lead BA - someone who thrives in environments with minimal hand-holding, takes ownership of outcomes, and proactively drives work forward. You will be operating at the intersection of business, procurement, and technology, engaging a large and diverse stakeholder group across the organisation.

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across a complex systems implementation

  • Proactively define, structure, and execute workstreams - creating tasks, plans, and artefacts rather than waiting for direction

  • Partner closely with technology, procurement, and business stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into clear, actionable outcomes

  • Support delivery across the SDLC, from discovery and requirements through to build, test, and implementation

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, bringing a consulting mindset to problem-solving and delivery

  • Where required, contribute elements of project coordination or product ownership, ensuring alignment between business outcomes and delivery execution

  • Navigate ambiguity confidently and keep momentum moving in a fast-paced program environment

Core experience (must-have):

  • Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst on large-scale systems implementations

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and self-direct work

  • Experience operating in complex stakeholder environments across both business and technology

  • Background in consulting (Big Four or Tier-2 preferred), or strong evidence of a consulting mindset

Highly regarded (nice-to-have):

  • Experience within banking or financial services

  • Exposure to procurement platforms, procurement transformation, or source-to-pay programs

  • Experience working alongside product owners or performing PO-style responsibilities

  • Involvement in AI-enabled initiatives or data-driven platforms

  • Experience working across multiple portfolios or domains

  • You don't wait to be told what to do, you identify gaps, create structure, and move work forward

  • Stakeholders trust you to lead conversations, not just document them

  • Delivery teams rely on you for clarity, prioritisation, and momentum

  • You bring order to ambiguity and keep the program progressing

  • High-impact program in a Tier-1 banking environment

  • Opportunity to shape both core procurement systems and next-gen AI capability

  • A role with genuine autonomy and influence, not just documentation responsibility

  • Ideal for senior consultants looking for meaningful delivery ownership
