About the Role
As a Lead SOC Engineer, you'll be a senior technical leader within the Security Operations and Identity Management team, providing deep subject-matter expertise and strategic guidance across complex security technologies. You'll manage and mentor security engineers, work closely with clients, and help shape resilient security solutions across on-premises, virtualised and cloud environments.
About You
10+ years' experience in senior cyber security roles.
Proven track record leading high-performing teams and influencing outcomes.
Hands-on expertise with security technologies such as NGFW, EDR tools, PAM, SWG/SSE or equivalent.
Hands-on expertise with Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms.
Strong understanding of core security principles, OSI model, TCP/IP stack, and modern cybersecurity controls.
Experience across cloud and hybrid environments, including security tooling and integration practices.
Familiarity with automation and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise: Deliver deep technical knowledge and guidance in key security areas (e.g., NGFW, SSE, PAM).
Security Solution Delivery: Own and lead the implementation and optimisation of security solutions across diverse infrastructure environments.
Leadership & Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and uplift more junior engineers, building capability and excellence within the security team.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, offering strategic advice and shaping security outcomes.
Cross-Team Innovation: Collaborate broadly with internal teams to drive innovation, resilience, and continuous improvement of security practices.
