Linux Systems Administrator
6-Month Contract | Financial Services | Sydney (Hybrid)

We're partnering with a large financial services institution to engage a contract Linux Systems Administrator for a delivery-focused infrastructure project.

This role suits someone with strong, hands-on Linux experience who is comfortable working in enterprise environments and contributing to project-based work rather than BAU support.

What you'll be doing:

• Delivering project work across Linux server environments (primarily RHEL and Ubuntu)

• Building, configuring, and hardening Linux systems as part of infrastructure initiatives

• Supporting platform uplift and modernisation projects

• Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams

• Contributing to design, build, and implementation activities in a regulated environment

What we're looking for:

• Strong hands-on Linux systems administration experience

• Experience with enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL / Ubuntu)

• Background delivering infrastructure or platform projects

• Comfortable working in regulated or large enterprise environments

• Ability to work independently and own deliverables

Nice to have:

• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar)

• Exposure to configuration management or automation tooling

• Prior financial services experience

Contract details:

• 6-month contract with potential extension

• Sydney-based with hybrid working
