About the role

A large construction company in Sydney are looking to recruit a network systems engineer on a permanent basis to join their internal IT team to provide level 2 and level 3 support on their network

The role would suit someone with great comms and around 5 years of experience in similar positions.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the escalation point for all level 2 and level 3 network incidents on LAN, WAN and Wireless
• Maintaining the capability IT infrastructure
• Support and maintenance on routers, switches and firewalls
• Troubleshooting performance and connectivity issues
• Incident response of security issues
• Work as a mentor to junior members of the team

Key Skills:

• Solid experience with Cisco routers and switches
• Technical skills on Windows Servers and VMware/Citrix
• Network Security experience with Firewalls, VPNs and loadbalancers
• Good knowledge on networking protocols like BGP, OSPF and TCP/IP
• Experience with O365 platforms
• Certifications like CCNA/CCNP are beneficial
