Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale initiatives within Asset Management and Wealth Management, specifically focused on digital initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional who is diplomatic, resilient, and pragmatic, with a track record of successfully driving complex digital transformations across API-driven and customer-facing web platforms.

Permanent opportunity that will suit someone who has the ability to navigate a hybrid Agile-Waterfall ("Wagile") environment, ensuring both strategic alignment and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile Project Management and will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, vendor relationships, and senior stakeholder expectations, all while ensuring the successful delivery of a multi-year, multi-phase program with a $10M+ budget over 3-4 years.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Leadership: Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to post-implementation across API integrations, customer-facing web platforms, and online investor interfaces.
• Agile & Wagile Delivery: Champion Agile best practices while balancing the needs of a structured project management approach. Drive Agile transformation within the team and across business units while ensuring forecasting and structured delivery milestones.
• Effort & Capacity Forecasting: Work with engineering and product teams to forecast effort, capacity, and resource allocation, ensuring realistic delivery timelines and appropriate budget planning ($2M-$3M per phase).
• Stakeholder & Executive Engagement: Act as a key liaison between technical teams, business units, and C-suite stakeholders, providing clear, actionable insights on project progress, risks, and strategic direction. Ability to "manage up" and influence senior decision-makers.
• Hands-On Execution & Leadership: Balance high-level strategic management with practical hands-on delivery. Roll up sleeves when necessary, ensuring successful execution of both technology and business outcomes.
• Risk & Budget Management: Manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints while maintaining financial oversight of a multi-million-dollar budget over multiple project phases spanning 3-4 years.
• Team & Vendor Management: Lead cross-functional teams across development, product, compliance, and operations. Work closely with external vendors, technology partners, and system integrators to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal outcomes.

Key Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Online Platforms.
• Proven expertise in customer-facing platforms with strong knowledge of API integrations, web applications, and digital solutions.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and ability to drive Agile adoption within a complex environment.
• Comfortable operating in a Wagile setting, balancing Agile execution with structured project governance.
• Strong background in effort and capacity forecasting, ensuring realistic resource planning and delivery timelines.
• Experience managing budgets of $2M-$3M per phase, with oversight of multi-year programs exceeding $10M+.
• Ability to manage up to C-suite executives and key stakeholders while also getting hands-on with delivery teams.
• Diplomatic, resilient, and able to handle high-pressure environments and complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams across business, product, and technology.
