About the Role

This is a hands-on security engineering position embedded within the Product Security team, reporting locally in Sydney. You'll help ensure the security of a diverse product portfolio spanning hardware, firmware, web applications, cloud and AI, while helping evolve secure development practices across the engineering organisation.

As a key member of a compact and mission-focused security team, you will influence how products are built, tested and operated securely in some of the most challenging environments worldwide.

About You

  • Hands-on application security experience in high-stakes or complex technology environments.
  • 3+ years of relevant security engineering experience (e.g., Security Engineer, AppSec Engineer, Software Engineer).
  • Strong skills in application security reviews, threat modelling, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Proven ability to write scripts or code (e.g., Python, Go) and contribute to secure CI/CD and automation workflows.
  • Comfortable with modern application architectures, REST/gRPC APIs, and cloud environments.

Desirable: familiarity with Red Teaming, hardware/embedded security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and building automated security tooling.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to secure SDLC practices and help integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform application security reviews and threat modelling
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in web apps, APIs, and cloud environments
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to improve security processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and reduce security toil
  • Assist in security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA) and vulnerability management
