Talenza have been engaged by an Australian ASX listed company to find an Solution Architect. The successful candidate will be an experienced in banking and will have proven experience mapping whole of bank IT architecture.

This role requires 3 days per week in the Brisbane office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane with full working rights.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience across core banking, payments, KYC/AML, fraud, and regulatory considerations; proven ability to navigate end-to-end IT landscapes.

• Track record of analyzing and documenting as-is architectures across applications, data, integrations, and security; ability to map end-to-end processes and identify gaps, risks, and redundancies.

• Strong experience evaluating and planning integrations for migration across disparate systems; deep understanding of APIs, messaging, data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, ISO 20022), and interface catalogs.

• Decommissioning, data migration, and transition planning: define decommissioning strategies for legacy systems, determine what to move, retire, or replace; plan cutovers, data migration approaches, and continuity of service.

• Produce comprehensive artefacts (current-state blueprints, target-state models, data lineage, risk mapping), with disciplined governance, version control, and stakeholder sign-off.

• Provide architecture guidance to delivery squads, translate target-state into actionable work packages; identify and mitigate security, regulatory, and operational risks; ensure alignment with banking risk frameworks and controls.
