The Role

In this role, you will define enterprise-wide data architecture, develop conceptual and logical data models, and ensure data standards, governance, and integration approaches support both current and long-term organisational needs. You will work closely with Architecture, Data & Analytics, and Technology teams to uplift data capability and influence strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural governance across data warehousing, BI, integration, MDM, metadata, and document management.
  • Map enterprise data to business processes, systems, and technology platforms.
  • Identify gaps in data architecture practices and lead initiatives to address them.
  • Contribute to data governance activities and act as a member of architecture review forums.
  • Stay current with industry data standards and emerging technologies, championing their adoption.

Technical Requirements (Essential)

  • 10+ years in IT with 5+ years in information systems architecture/design.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise information solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with MDM, data integration, data warehousing, BI, and document management.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms and modern data tech, including:
    • AWS
    • Snowflake
    • Big Data ecosystems / data lake architectures
  • Strong background in enterprise architecture, data governance, data modelling, information classification, and data integration patterns.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Advanced data modelling across relational, object, and semantic models.
  • Knowledge of metadata management, taxonomies, ontologies, and applying structured techniques to unstructured data.
  • Familiarity with industry data models (e.g., PPDM, PODS).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to assess emerging technologies and translate them into practical business value.
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations.

Why Apply?

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping an enterprise data ecosystem at scale - with direct influence on strategy, governance, and the future-state data landscape.
