Location: Sydney (hybrid)
Rate: $1,050 per day + Super
We're seeking a Senior BI Specialist to design and deliver high-quality dashboards and data products that enable data-driven decision-making across senior business stakeholders. You'll work hands-on with SQL, Python and Power BI to model, analyse and visualise enterprise datasets, translating complex data into clear business insights.
Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI (primary) and Tableau (secondary).
Develop robust data models and datasets using SQL and Python.
Partner with business leaders to define metrics, KPIs and reporting requirements.
Translate data outputs into clear narratives that inform decisions.
Optimise BI performance, data quality and governance.
Document datasets, logic and tools for business consumption.
Contribute to modern BI and analytics practices, including AI-assisted analytics (e.g., Copilot, LLMs).
Proven experience as a Senior BI / Reporting / Analytics Specialist.
Advanced SQL and strong Python for data transformation and analysis.
Deep Power BI expertise (data modelling, DAX, visual design, performance).
Tableau experience beneficial.
Strong stakeholder engagement, including senior/executive audiences.
Ability to explain datasets, dashboards and insights in business terms.
Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., banking).
Background with organisations such as Westpac highly regarded.
Experience with AI-assisted analytics tools (Copilot, LLMs).
Exposure to modern cloud data platforms and semantic modelling.
Data governance or metric definition frameworks experience.
